Client's Journey to Better Health and Strength

Gerry’s journey to better health began with a goal to improve strength and overall well-being. Initial assessments revealed balance challenges, shoulder limitations, and effort constraints due to a neurological disorder. A customized, pain-free training plan gradually progressed from short sessions to more intense workouts, ensuring safe yet effective strength development.

Customized Plan

Progressive Session Structure

Gerry began with two 25-minute sessions per week and gradually progressed to 50-minute sessions.

Lower Body Focus (Day 1):

Exercises were modified to accommodate left knee issues from past injuries, adjusting resistance as needed.

Upper Body and Trunk (Day 2)

Sessions started with assessing shoulder range of motion, followed by tailored strength training.

Spinal Training:

Daily assessments determined safe loading levels, ensuring adaptability to varying mobility conditions.

Pain-Free Training Approach:

Exercise selection prioritized comfort and injury prevention, making workouts both safe and effective.

Challenging Progressions

Within strict safety criteria, Gerry’s training was progressively intensified to help him achieve his fitness goals.

Support and Guidance:

With some days being better than others for Gerry we are always providing hopeful encouragement as he battles his ailments and injuries. When working with higher risk clients progress is very seldom in a straight line up. Some days are better than others which is why our strict thought process of custom-fit exercise and never assuming clients can do what they did the session prior is so important. Gerry understands we as a team are responsible for the effort not the outcome but can always choose to be optimistic and excited about where his program and health are going!
